Safety

The last military activities on the Trabuco Bombing Range were conducted a half-century ago; but as recently as 2004, the following types of ordnance were discovered on this site:

  • 25-pound practice bomb
  • 3-pound miniature practice bombs
  • 2.25-inch Sub-caliber aircraft rocket (SCAR) (practice)
  • 5-inch rocket warhead (practice)

Additional munitions and explosives of concern (MEC) still may be present in the area, and these items are still capable of causing serious injury or death; so please remember --
